Sigma make lenses to fit almost every digital camera made. Many of their lenses are excellent and work well with Nikon, Canon, Fuji, Pentax, Minolta and Olympus digital SLR cameras, but there are some compatibility issues with older lenses with newer Canon or Nikon digital SLR cameras. The problem with Nikons is mainly with newer DSLRs like the Nikon D3000 and D5000 which no longer have an autofocus motor in the camera body. So my advice now is : Check compatibility even with new lenses.
